Travis Brink (Billygoat here on BH) and I will usually jump at the chance to play tunes with old-time fiddle players. But when it's just him and me, we sing the old songs. Well, he sings and I more or less croak and screech.
I believe this song/tune comes from Fiddlin' Arthur Smith and was recorded in the late 20s or early 30s, although I do not have a copy.

Another fine song, Dean. Does that establishment pay you guys for providing the entertainment? ![]()

Yes, believe it or not, we have snookered people into paying us for playing old-time music. I know that's hard to believe, but it's true.
But that particular recording was made at the clubhouse at my apartment complex. We had virtually no audience, nor were we seeking one at that time.
