The audio works properly for other programs such as iTunes, YouTube, videos, etc. Does anyone have any other ideas about how to fix the audio?
Well, I think we have already exchanged by e-mail.
The audio output of iTunes for example uses other components than the MIDI ouput of TablEdit.
My last suggestion was the iPad memory is saturated. A full reboot would do no harm.
The next update will embed a diagnostic feature. It will be easier to know what is not working
BTW i wonder if TEFview plays back.

Sound comes through fine with the new Tefpad app that I downloaded--I have an ipad2--and it worked right off the bat. Haven't had a chance to try to tab on it yet--but it shows and plays tabledit docs fine ![]()
Thanks for developing this,

TEFpad 1.4 is buggy. The use of the palettes in the virtual keyboard makes the app to crash.
I've immediately submitted a fix (1.4.1) but I'm afraid it won't be approved by Apple before a week.
Apologies.

This is my problem, too. I just posted a question in the tab forum, but maybe it would be better here.

The suggestion about lack of memory doesn't seem likely. My iPad has 57.2 GB of memory, of which 31.4 GB are still available.

Hi there,
Has anyone out there got to grips with TEFpad Pro? Despite going through the steps on the FAQs I still can't get the iPad to make any sound when playing a tab, so I'm having to transfer the files onto my Mac and play them there, which is clunky. Has anyone cracked this?
The trick mentioned in the FAQ (tabledit.com/ios/tp_e.shtml) seems to work for most people. I'm sorry about this problem even if it seems to be Apple's responsibility.
Other queries:
- How do you write a title at the top? This works when you export as a pdf but I haven't managed do it in the application.
You invoke the Information popover (by tapping in the middle of the tool bar). With TEFpad the fields are editable if you can save the file without restriction (depends on whether you have TEFpad or TEFpad Pro)
- How do you indicate a left hand pluck (alternate string pull-off)?
I would say like in TablEdit, you apply a dynamic value of ppp to the note of origin.
- Why doesn't the midi file play what's in the .tef? Specifically, why does it ignore 1st & 2nd time repeats, and just blast through?
I can't reply to this without an example. These repeats are actually played back?
- Why does the midi file ignore slides?
Ah, I think you found a bug. Maybe the Export Special Effects option is not automatically used by TEFpad and the pitch bends are not exported.
Apart from those niggles I'm very happy with TEFpad Pro - it's very intuitive.
Thanks. It would be cool to post another review on iTunes to correct the most recent that can be seen on the US page. (The one which is simply titled "Horrible" ;-)
Best regards.
Matthieu
