Hey guys! Long time reader, first time poster.
In the interest of giving back to this wonderful community, I've been tabbing the entire album for "Sigh No More" by Mumford and Sons. I noticed all the tab here was reworked versions and not from the actual studio recording. I use a program to isolate the banjo and slow it down, as well as watch as many live performances as I can to ensure accuracy. I assure you these are the most accurate tabs on the web. I will be posting weekly until I have every song on the album.
All tabs can now be found in PDF's on site:

Your videos and the tabs are fantastic! Thank you for taking the time to do this. Can't wait for Roll Away Your Stone - that's my favorite song of theirs based on banjo alone.

Many thanks, Craig

Thank you very much for these tabs, they are much appreciated. If you could, can you please clean up the tab for Dust Bowl Dance and tab out White Blank Page or maybe even Home? Thanks.
P.S: Love the new intro to the videos. Pretty snazzy

Great job here HBD
Hopefully their new album isn't too far away. I get the feeling that we might see more adventure in Winston's playing.

Aha! I wondered if you were a banjo hangout member. So psyched to start learning these songs. As a beginner ( I've been messing around with the banjo for two years) I find it super helpful to play along with someone when learning a song, and based on the one tutorial video of yours of Mumford & Sons' Little Lion Man, I've struck gold!
happybanjodude - Posted - 11/25/2011: 21:35:50
Thanks for the kind words Kat. :)
"Little Lion Man" is my personal favorite... once you've got it down it's crazy fun to play with the recording. About as rocking as banjo can get!
BanjoKat2 - Posted - 11/27/2011: 10:09:55
Happybanjodude,
This will be the last time I praise your videos so you don't get a big, fat ego (haha) but finding them is like an early Christmas gift.
Your video of "Little Lion Man" is the first video I've found that helped me learn a song. It's simple, short, ez to follow, perfectly paced so I can play along, great view of fingering, great tabs, awesome to have the "picking patterns" there to study, etc.
I've been practicing the first section and it is getting easier to make the chord changes. I've also been working on the main picking pattern & it's starting to all fit together. I can tell it's going to be fun to play once I can speed it up.
P.S. re:"Sigh No More" - great intro - made me laugh.
BanjoKat2 - Posted - 12/04/2011: 16:11:11
Thanks jbaker7 and happybanjodude - tons of great material to work with to learn these awesome songs!
BanjoKat2 - Posted - 12/04/2011: 16:13:57
Maybe a little Avett Brothers sometime in the next couple of months? Perhaps Laundry Room? or The Avett Brothers' Murder in the City?

THANK YOU!!!
Any way i you could tab the Winston's solo in "Feel the Tide"??
munter123 - Posted - 12/08/2011: 17:20:28
Hey HBD.
I was wondering whether you could post the banjo tablature for lover's eyes or lover of the light. They are relatively new songs (to be released on the next album) and I'd quite like to play them before they are released. Also, have you heard of the band Matthew and the Atlas? They incorporate banjo parts in their songs and could be a good addition to the collection you've built here. My personal favorite is "I Will Remain".
Cheers

So I just got a banjo for Christmas (which is all that I asked for) and I am happy to say that I have been practicing every day since with your tabs. I just had to join to say: thank you so much! I hope you're still writing these because I am excited to learn them all. Your video has been really helpful for Roll Away Your Stone. My requests (if you're taking them) is for White Blank Page and/or Feel the Tide next... thank you again!
munter123 - Posted - 02/23/2012: 22:26:42
I have to agree with some other people on this forum: Feel the Tide would be great.
Ravanova - Posted - 02/27/2012: 10:22:34
Hey,
I've recently been trying to learn Winter Winds.
The intro that you give is much longer than the intro that is played by Mumford, or am I wrong?
I would go ahead and shorten it, but I'm wondering if it just should be played really fast or something odd like that!
Thanks for the tabs and videos; I cam looking on here before to no avail, but now it is so much better :D
Edit: Ah, I see, you do have to play it faster..

Hey HBD,
One quick question: What brand of metal finger picks do you use?
Calv - Posted - 02/28/2012: 01:58:46
Thanks for this, you are a star!
Mumford and Sons are one of the reasons i bought a banjo, i've been a long time listener of banjo music, but it was them and Winston who sparked off my newfound desire to play one.
Much appreciated.
Calv.
