I like mine smooth, no peanuts to crunch and I mix the peanut butter and jelly together before I spread it on bread.
Now, when I make peanut butter cookies, I like the crunchy kind -- don't know why.

Adams CRUNCHY. I can go through a jar in 2 days, disgusting I know.

It doesn't matter. sometimes you feel like a nut; sometimes you don't.

Try this old fashion treat: 1 part peanut butter (either), 1 part honey, 2 parts powered milk. Mix well and put into a smaller baking dish. Smooth out and cut into bars. Best if kept in the fridge.

I like this treat:
Insert chocolate in mouth
Allow chocolate to melt a little in mouth
Insert tablespoon (or more) of peanut butter in mouth
Enjoy
Repeat
I like smooth peanut butter.

I like the natural peanut butter that's just ground up peanuts. You have to stir the oil back into it when you first open it but, to me, it's well worth it.
If I I have to eat the "commercial" peanut butter I prefer crunchy.
Klondike Waldo - Posted - 02/06/2011: 17:41:46
Either one is good with me as long as it's all natural- none of that thinned down with vegetable oil nonsense for me.
Peanuts, salt and nothing else (and not much salt at that)

Either's ok.

Hot doughnuts
English muffin(also with cream cheese andblueberry preserves)
PB sandwich with corn chowder
PB on baked ham(while baking)

I have always been a CRUNCHY only kinda guy BUT,,,,,,,,,,Linda Lou found some SMOOTH on sale and now we have at least 5 or more jars on hand so I'm learning to USE it. ![]()
It's great for bringing up my sugar when it gets low like yesterday and today. So now I have 5 little cracker sandwiches with SMOOOTH peanut butter on them in a plastic jar right by my bed so I have something close at hand when I'm alone here at night on the weekends.
When you get a low it's hard to function.
But CRUNCHY is my favorite.

I liked "crunchy" when I was a kid but now the only peanut butter I'll eat is the natural kind (just peanuts - no sugar and no salt added) and I prefer the "smooth" style at that.

I will try.
My Grandmother used to make them(Molasses and plain)

I really like peanut butter cookies or peanut butter fudge, but don't eat it often. And I seldom eat peanut butter otherwise.
When I was a kid, I would grab the peanut butter (smooth) and Karo syrup.
I'd mix it together in a bowl and eat with bread. YUM!
John.

figmo, you gotta fry the PB on bread in the pan, then add the grape jelly so it melts.
Good coffee, breakfast of champions.
dlc - Posted - 02/07/2011: 02:10:23
Take a cup of roasted peanuts, put them in the food processor, let it run until you have peanut butter.
Peanuts, and any salt they came with. That's all.
It's a LOT better than anything you'll get from a jar.

HOW DID I KNOW..........
i just knew this was gonna be one of the food groups of the Gods...![]()

I need smooth Vitamin P on toast in the morning, take it slow as a launching pad for some sort of jam. I think I'd better get upstairs and do that, right now.
Crunchy is an ingredient in a couple of my sauces: peanut-soya and peanut-Hoi-Sin.

My wife likes creamy-I like crunchy. We have seperate jars. She also makes her own jam/jellies-currently going through strawberry/rhubarb and looking forward to her pineapple/mango-YUM.
For a taste treat, get a dark chocolate mini-Dove bar, put it in your mouth, throw in a handfull of lightly salted peanuts, munch until your eyes roll back in your head in Nirvana. Repeat as often as necessary or until your wife takes the peanuts away from you in disgust.

Kapelmeister-eenoh! I'm with you on the smooth. Got very few of my own teeth. Crunchies clog up my gums and are downright painful. And I'm with you on the natural. "Teddie" is my favorite. Stir it around a little and smother a loaf of bread with it and some "Trappist" cherry preserves. Oh wow!!! The sweetness of the pb and the snap of the cherries will knock you socks off.
God bless
(which is hard to say with a mouth full of pb)
George
