I`m one of the most peaceful people in the world but I would want to kill anybody who did that to my dog ( or yours, if I could get my hands on them ).
edsnyder - Posted - 02/02/2011: 14:36:13
Dogs are family. My dog is one of my best friends and I love her deeply.
Report this to as many people as possible to get the work out. That may help to protect other dogs as much as anything else.

Funny, I make a statement about shooting Hilter in another topic and "everyone" jumps on me but it's okay to talk about murdering/injuring someone over a dog. I just don't get it.

Emotions run high on this forum, sometimes. Especially when it comes to helpless animals. I guess that is just the way we feel about them. They are unconditional.

It's a scary situation. This has got to be someone with serious pathalogical problems. Keep an eye out for it happening elsewhere in your community.

35-40 years ago someone tried to break into my bro-in-laws house while he was at work. 150 lb. wolf/shepard dog was home though. 3 fingers and part of a thumb were found on the floor below the door window the burglar broke to try and get in.
Blood all over the place leading to the curb and obviously a car. I figured they'd catch him at a hospital but he never showed up. May have bled to death somewhere.
Some scumbags get what they deserve!
Hope your pal Misty recovers quickly and fully.

It`s a personal thing. A lot of us are against violence in any form, but when it comes to somebody or something we love, all of our good intentions go out the window. Well mine do anyway.

This is disturbing to say the least. I would rule out the jerk being afraid of your dog cause you would have to get close to do that I would think. I wouldn't think a kid would think of a method like that either. It would be nice if we all had cameras set up for things like this. Get well soon pup.

Hey PigEye, Personally, I wouldn't have a problem with you going back and shooting Hitler. And I have even less problem with someone tracking the evil SOB's that hurt Misty and taking them out, either. Evil begets evil.

Ted,
Sorry to hear about Misty, hope all is well and there is no permanent damage. Don't know what makes people do things like that. We have had several similar events within the past several years in our area. We also had 3 or 4 teenage boys drive by cattle farms shooting cows with 22s and leaving them die a slow death. I am not surprised by such actions in the greater Detroit area but where you live????? That really surprises me.

I second that.

Sorry to hear that..
I am quite sure that the time will let this "monster"person pay for this cruelty.
and hope Misty will get better soon..

This cuts. This cuts deep.
I've got a Jack Russell terrior that I just love so much.
I am the most "peace" oriented person you will ever meet.
But if someone did that to my dog....
I dont know what I would do.
Whew..

There is no bond like that of a man and his dog! I'm a pretty big & tough guy, and there's not much that gets to me, but seeing an animal in pain is absolutely unbearable.
I hope Misty gets well soon.

Not so long ago I heard of a horse who'd had his tail set on fire by some teenaged girls. Tail had to be amputated and horse cannot swish the flies away. Now a harmless dog gets acid thrown in the face. I can understand the rage all of you feel.
tree1 - Posted - 02/05/2011: 00:10:21
If you want I'll send my dog after them. My dog doesn't trust any strangers. She's the first dog I've brought up from a puppy and it's a mistake I made in not socialising her early enough, but frankly although I'm meant to feel guilty that she doesn't like strangers... I don't. I know my wife is safe when I'm at work during the night and I know she won't be duped my the false kindness of someone who just wants to hurt her.
I feel really sorry for Misty. Get well soon.

Well Misty is healing but its going to take some time, Guess i'll never know who did this or what happened.

Most people who do nasty things and get away with it have a bad habit of bragging about it in some bar, or at school. They are too proud not to. We just have to wait until he is ready to burst, and then he'll run his mouth off. Hugs....
Sultans of Claw - Posted - 02/09/2011: 18:38:36
I still say that Misty knows who it is. It's someone she's seen before and someone she'll likely see again. Just make mental notes on how she reacts to people.

Very good...an O.K. ending to a thread I feared looking into.
Power to the K-9's and their friends.
Pete13 - Posted - 03/05/2011: 18:38:25
Best wishes for Misty. I can't fathom how anyone could do that to an animal, but there are some real sick people in this world.
Tom Hanway - Posted - 03/05/2011: 19:14:39
Dogs don't deserve a lot of the human race. I'm very sorry to hear this. Just be loving.
kygle - Posted - 03/05/2011: 20:11:31
I hope for a quick recovery of your dog. It is an evil deed and who ever did it should be punished hard. Here in Denmark cruelty against animals is considered very much like cruelty against children.
