I got my mute about 2 weeks ago, and since I had never used a mute before(except a towel inside my resonator) I was a little confused about how to put it on. I am not a very good visual learner and could not figure out the video. So I emailed Mike and he got right back to me with easy instructions. it worked and now I use the mute a lot. I have a teacher who wants me to practice rolls and my husband was bored hearing me. Now I can work on my lessons after work and give him some peace.
Last summer it seemed that every time I practiced my banjo out on the back porch, my neighbor would start up his lawn mower. I bet that won't happen this year if I use the mute!

This is a grand banjo, just what I was looking for. It is heavy but the tone ring vibrates and hums, it is awesome
