Ron recently built a new  Gibson replacement neck for me. His work is virtually flawless, and he did the work at a reasonable price...He even made the binding look vintage. You could almost swear that the neck was vintage............ There are many great luthiers out there but Ron Coleman is my luthier of choice...........Lynn Williams

Ron Coleman is a highly skilled banjo builder........he can make you any kind of custom or traditional pattern neck that you want. His prices are reasonable and his work is flawless. He is the owner of Outlaw banjos. I recently hired him to build a custom made banjo with a gamblers theme neck and he did one heck of a great job on it. I highly recommend him to anyone interested in a custom made instruments or in his famous Colt model banjos. I couldn't be happier with my banjo.It has a lot of kick to it and I have a hard time setting it down. Lynn williams

Sound

this banjo has a very powerful tone with great bass. It has great clarity up the neck and the neck is comfortable with perfect action and setup

the banjo was already set up well. I didn't have to touch it.

The inlay is perfect and you can't see any touch ups to the neck

Reliability

The instrument was assembled with quality pre war spec hardware with a seasoned maple neck. The finish work is high quality. the banjo also sports stainless steel frets, and I like them a lot......this banjo is durable and solid with a sleek fast neck. i'll be playing a lot of gigs with this banjo. My old standby Gibson banjo is going to be retired in a place of honor in my pickin' parlor. And this Outlaw banjo is my new gun in town.

Ron Coleman is a skilled luthier and he is easy to work with.. All you got do is call him and he'll go out of his way to help you out. Ron guarantees his work and I can attest just by the many conversations that I've had with him that he stands by his word..I can't be happier about choosing him to build my custom banjo.

Outlaw banjos are quality instruments and I highly recommend Ron's work and his instruments. I have a hard time putting my banjo down.............Quite franklly I think it kicks butt. I have been playing since 1970 and have owned many banjos.....This is one of the best that I've ever played. Lynn W.
