I've tried everything over the years and until now always went back to Showcase 41s.  I was skeptical  to spend this much on picks, but it was Christmas.  These things are perfect right out of the box.  Fit perfect. Bend is perfect.  Tone is great.  No pick noise.  Beautiful finish.  Warren included a clown puke pick, a set of strings, and candy😀 If you can swing the price, you gotta try these.

I've been trying out bridges on my Huber Lexington.  I've tried Nechville, Sosebee, Katzeye and a couple unmarked Grover type, but none really grabbed me so I thought I give one of Steve's a try.  Glad I did as this simple no frills little number is great on this banjo.  Very balanced with just the right amount of sustain and good pop.  Not too dark, not too right.  It's a keeper.  I assume these are the Wadsworth design the Steve purchased a while back.  Recommended.  Especially on a Huber.

Finally a real alternative to the fine, but way overpriced McKinney, Elliott and Showcase capos. Just as sleek with a couple of nice additional features.  First  the adjustment screw is threaded internally so it does not move and is large (but not intrusive) making it easy to grasp and turn.  It also has some tiny rubber bumpers on the inside to help protect the neck from metal to neck contact.  I own a McKinney and I prefer the Shubb.  At $75 this is winner.

After reading all the rave reviews, I took the plunge and ordered one.  It fits well and is comfortable, but I get a scratching sound on newer strings that I don't experience with plastic picks.  I gave it ample time to wear in, but still don't care for it.  May be my picking angle, but I'm retiring it.  Way overpriced.

Overall Comments

Clancy is a fine craftsman and great to deal with.  He puts together and finishes some fine sounding banjos.  These are sleepers and equal to or better than many other small shop builders.  Great value here.
