Capos: Ken Forbister capo

Submitted by Tim Purcell on 2/5/2018

Where Purchased: Directly from maker (Ken Forbister)

Overall Comments

I was in the market for another capo and when I found out that Ken had made his own style, I jumped on the chance to own one. Ken is a talented artist, and after looking at some pictures of the stainless and brass capos he had made, I decided on the stainless.Excellent workmanship in every respect! The capo works flawlessly from the 1st fret to the 4th. Easily stores behind the nut. Like everything Ken does, it's a work of art! Thank you, Ken! Great job, my friend!

Truss Rod Cover: Tim Davis

Submitted by Tim Purcell on 1/23/2015

Where Purchased: All American Banjo

Overall Comments

Tim has bought a lot of bridges from me over the last few years, so when I found out about his new up coming business venture, I inquired about having him make me a new truss rod cover for my curly maple banjo. Tim quickly made up a few samples for me to look at and within a matter of a few days, I had my cover in the mail. It is a beautiful piece of white MOP with my last name engraved on it. I'm very happy with the finished product.

Tim has always been a pleasure to do business with and I'm sure I'll be purchasing more items from him in the future. I highly recommend Tim for any inlay services you might need done. Thanks Tim

Tuner bracket: Snark Adapter

Submitted by Tim Purcell on 4/11/2013

Where Purchased: Jts Picks

Overall Comments

I received the bracket today and it snapped right in place and works
like a charm. What a great simple little attachment you've designed
and made! My Snark SN8 snapped right on and tunes the strings just as
well as clamping it on the peghead....maybe even better. I've never
liked clamping a tuner on the peghead. Now I can leave it on the banjo
all the time....even in the case. Thanks for a great product!

Picks: Dean Hoffmeyer fingerpicks

Submitted by Tim Purcell on 9/5/2012

Where Purchased: Hoffmeyerpicks.com

Overall Comments

These picks are very smooth and I really like the clean tone I'm getting from them compared to my NP2's. Dean has made a very nice finger pick. The attention to detail is obvious.
