Beginner here and I couldn't be happier with Mike's banjo mute. It is quick to install (and remove if needed) and doesn't seem to negatively impact the sound of the banjo while still muting it. I live in an apartment so this is really perfect for me. Now I can practice without being nervous I'm disturbing anyone. It makes a huge difference. I'm going to of buy a second one to support Mike's American made product for my second banjo.
