I'm new to the banjo and my repetitive late night practicing was driving my wife crazy on the next floor up in our house. I tried other home remedies (like sponges) but I didn't get good results and they were kind of a pain. I ordered Mike's Banjo Mute for my Deering Goodtime 5 string banjo and received it in a few days. It works great. It really quiets down the volume, but the banjo still sounds good. My wife doesn't even know I'm playing now. It's nicely designed and simple to use. Guide it though the holes on the bridge, tighten the two screws and you are done in under 5 seconds! Great price point as well. Brilliant!
