I needed a mute so my neighbors (and my wife) wouldn't throw rocks at me when I practice. I researched a lot of them. I decided on Mike's based mostly on reviews but also on how it works. The price didn't throw me because it looked like it is very well made. Well, it is. And I am extremely pleased with the sound -- almost like a dulcimer. Mutes without ruining tone. Well worth the money!
