This mute has been a game changer for me. Because of the loudness of the banjo I've been limited to early morning or late at night for practice time. So when I went looking for a solution I was pleasantly suprised to find a video on youtube of a guy reviewing 2 mutes. From the video I thought Mikes was clearly more effective. I gladly spent the $30 hoping it would buy me some practice time...and boy did it! This mute takes so much sound out of the banjo, that honestly, I'll practice at the dinner table now. This mute has really opened up a lot of practice opportunities for me. Being able to take advantage of a few minutes here or there has been extremely helpful to me and kept me making progress.
I would highly recommend this product to anyone who is serious about banjo that sound might restrict their practice time. Also, I see this being a handy tool when I go to jam in groups.
