I'm new to learning the banjo (7 months) and have been extremely frustrated with the different finger picks that I've tried. After reading several reviews, I decided to try the old97 picks from Judy Townsend. She not only sent them out right away but also included a custom old97 pick for me to try. I love these picks! A major improvement from the others that I've tried. I find now that I am practicing much longer. They not only fit my fingers like a glove but I'm not getting the soreness that I was with the others. I plan to order another set as a back up.

I'm new to learning the banjo and have been at it for several months. I try to practice every evening and my wife (in another room) doesn't mind the noise. She even encourages me to practice when I don't feel like it. So my wanting to mute my banjo was more for my privacy when practicing than for my wife. I searched on-line and found Mike's Banjo Mutes. I'm glad that I ordered it. The quality and workmanship is very good. Mike sent them out right away and I received them several days earlier than I was expecting. I have them on an open back banjo and it sounds like an acoustic guitar but not as loud. I have experienced some resonance when picking but I feel that is more my technique than the mute as I don't hear this all the time. I know that they work because now my wife turns down the TV every now and than to hear me practice. Good product.
