I'm giving a 7 because it seems like a very nicely made gig bag that I wish could be used with my banjo. I am disappointed that I went through with a purchase only to find out it didn't close over my Washburn B120. From the positive reviews and based on what I saw, it seemed like it would fit a resonator instrument, and I thought mine was a regular size. I dock myself points for not being as detailed as I should have been in seeing a 4 in depth in the specs, when my hard case is 4.5. Returning it to get something else. I'm surprised that they don't have a gig bag a little deeper given their success with this one.
Despite that issue with the depth, it is very nicely made. Quality construction and sturdy materials. It seems a little roomy, in line with previous reviews, but given that I can't close it on my 'jo, I can't comment further on the implications of that roominess. Overall, seems worth it for the right fit.

I'm new to the banjo and don't have experience with any other mute, but Mike's has been great. I live in NYC and don't want to get the folks in neighboring apartments all riled up because of noise. This has done the trick. It's easy to put on and there are no rattles. No complaints whatsoever.
