Bluegrass, my older banjo does keep not sounding a note when held down but this will sound as long as I hold the note.

banjo was sent with the 5th tuner not installed, they tried to help me with a timing thing because it was going to take a long time to get a 200 and for 200.00 more dollars they would send me a 300 at that moment. took the deal ! good ? bad? will never know.

This banjo has a full rich tone to it.Use it to play in a Blue Grass gospel Group. It does a better job of not being "over bearing" in the smaller churches and venues that a BG gospel group plays. My RB 250 is a lot brighter and doesnt seem to blend like this banjo does.

Set up was Good. Played nice right out of the box. Action up the neck was rite on. Changed it over to a Sullivan FF bridge and havent touched it since.

Beautiful Banjo. The maple is highly figured. The gold finish on the hardware makes it seem more formal for the kind of places we play. Have had several pickers ask me how I liked my "Granada" until I have to tell them its a Goldstar.

Does have a bit of wear on the armrest but the rest of the hardware cleans up nicely in a few minutes when I clean her up.

Always cary a back up but never have needed it. Have never had any issues with the company.

The looks of this Banjo is the selling point for me. If you dont Like gold hardware this banjo is not for you. The fretboard is Ebony,I prefer rosewood but the tone is warm and full anyway. I would have gotten H&F inlay but was only offered in F.E.

This banjo has been my main banjo since I got it. Suits my groups style better than some of the others that I own. Would recomend it to anybody. Cuts through at Jams well. I would describe the tone as warmer than the other maple banjos I own
