I've not been able to find tab for "Smokin' Hickory" on Seldom Scene's Act II album. It's the tune that compelled me to start playing banjo and I'm ashamed to say I've never learned it despite some half-hearted efforts.
As an aside and a trip back in time, I once asked Ben about it at the original Birchmere (hole in the wall bar in Shirlington VA) during a Seldom Scene band break. He showed me how he plays it, but I failed to pick it up.
Does any one play it? I've never heard it in a jam or at a festival. I can't be the only one that thinks it's a fine ride! There's a super fast version on youtube by Tim Osmond. Maybe I should use a slowdowner and figure it out myself.
Anyone have tab for it?
