Any banjo players here who've gone the O-1 extraordinary-ability visa route

Hi all — I play 5-string in a bluegrass/old-time band back home (I'm not from the US). We've been doing festival dates, some radio and press coverage, and a few competition placings over the last few years, and some of us have been seriously thinking about spending a season over there playing festivals, concerts and maybe teaching a workshop or two.The visa route that keeps coming up for musicians is the O-1 "extraordinary ability" category (and apparently the P visa for groups). Has anyone here — banjo players, fiddlers, anyone in a bluegrass or old-time act — actually gone through that route, or had an immigration lawyer look over their materials and tell you where you stand?I'm curious what actually counts as evidence for a string-band player: festival lineups, reviews and press features back home, competition results, guest spots on other people's recordings? And for those who've been through it, what surprised you most — the timing, the cost, or what the case officers wanted to see?Any real experiences welcome, good or bad. Odd question for a banjo forum, but I figured someone here has toured or tried to tour the US.
