Use the search tool in the left column. I've described my experience with my Pickup the World transducer.
Short version: I like that it has no effect I can hear on the unplugged acoustic sound of my banjo. In use, it's nowhere near as natural sounding as the Fishman pickups I've heard live or the EMG ACB-Barrel I've heard in the Picky Fingers Banjo Podcast.
For me, it's too "hot" and percussive. The fourth string too boomy. I use an LR Baggs Paracoustic preamp/DI and need to dial almost everything back then use the adjustments on the PA mixer to get the sound I want.
I'm no longer playing out, so it's not an issue.
This has me thinking maybe I should pull the pickup and sell it and my preamp.
