This one has been sitting on gumtree for at least 9 months. There it was even more ‘optimistically’ priced at £800.
"Plays as is and sounds great on the one string remaining" has to be in the running for a worst sales pitch award.
Effortless comedy. But despite that, actually a banjo worth restoring...if anyone can get the seller to knock 500 quid off the new eBay asking price.

Yes, I suppose that's the tragedy to this comedy. The poor old thing could be brought back into service if offered for a sensible price.
At least he was quite specific as to what century it was made.
