Would love to connect with Bluegrass Players in Northern New Jersey.

Central Jersey here… NJ definitely isn’t a hotbed of banjo activity, but I’ve met a few great players in my travels and I’d bet there’s even more up north toward NYC…

In either case, nice to hear from another Jersey picker and don’t hesitate to reach out if ya need anything!

Actually been shopping for a Deering Sierra 5 string if you know anyone in our area that has one.  Hoping to play one before purchasing.

Tony Trischka lives in Bergen County. He'll be doing his holiday show, Of a Winter's Night, December 9 at Flounder Brewing Company in Hillsborough. Two shows, 6:00 and 8:30.

As to where to meet others to play, wish I knew. My daughter's family lives in West Orange. We get there a few times a year. I've never met any players or heard live music on any of our visits, though I usually bring a banjo.

Four pages of Hangout members in New Jersey, some with towns listed. I selected jamming, socializing and helping as interests. Didn't select teaching.

Two Hangout members in Montclair.

Tony is great to see live. In small settings, even better.

They are a nationally touring band with a bunch of videos on YouTube.

The people at the vintage instrument store Lark Street Music in Teaneck might be able to refer you to local musicians. Lark Street refers to their original location in Albany, NY, but they moved to Teaneck many years ago.
