Hi,
I’ve been working on an arrangement of a fiddle tune called “policeman” for banjo. It is based off the recording on George Jackson’s “Old Time 100, vol 1” where I first heard this one. I thought this was very tricky to learn, not only is the tune “crooked”, but the fact that most of the phrases start on the “4” made it very difficult for me to understand the tune at first. Now, I think it is coming along nicely, and I really enjoy playing it, though it seems it’s usually played much faster than the speed I have it up to yet.
