Ten years ago I decided my growth as a player had stagnated. Many years of playing six string guitar felt limiting to me so I began to explore other instruments. My naive assumption at the time was that I could benefit from learning tunings associated with other instruments [mandolin and banjo, for example]. I bought several and soon discovered my aptitude for learning had declined as I aged. Alas, the instruments I bought were neglected. One of my acquisitions was a 1928 TB1 Gibson five-string banjo I found here on this forum. The seller was Banjo Bob Anderson of Plymouth, MI. I don’t know how to contact him and thought someone on this forum might have contact information. I have an old address and phone number, but they’re out of date. Thanks for any updated you might have. Larry
There are about a dozen Bob Andersons as members. Perhaps one might be the one you're looking for. Click on "More" and then then Member Search and type in his name and the below list will come up. Then you can peruse their home pages until you find the right one. Good luck!
Here's a list:

I'm not having any luck finding Banjo Bob Anderson. He may not be active on this forum any longer. I have reason to believe he is retired. I wanted to ask him for permission to use his description of the banjo I bought from him when I list it for sale here on the forum or elsewhere.
I'm not skilled in the use of this forum. It is similar to other forums in some ways and different in other ways. I'll learn by trial and error and get better {I hope}.
Regarding the description of the banjo, I think you would be ok in saying:
"The person i bought it from, Banjo Bob Anderson of Plymouth MI, described it as . . . . "
Even quotes from copyrighted materal are generally ok under the "fair use" exemptions.
Now, if you want the reader to conclude that you yourself came up with the description, that's a different situation.
