I have a woody with a roasted Sullivan bridge that I like but looking for a little more snap, so maybe a lighter under 2g bridge might be the answer or worth trying. I have a Katz Eyz that I don't like, was looking at the Moon Light bridges maybe.
Not asking what everyone's favorite bridge is, there's plenty of posts on that, and I know I'll never get a crack out of this banjo with no tone ring just looking for a little more pop if that makes sense
A couple minutes and some 100 grit sandpaper will get you there! Also I have a 1.96g Hooper bridge and 1.95g Sosebee bridge I would sell you if you're interested. Most bridge makers would take a request like that.
The lighter bridge will probably add some snap and brightness. A little thinner head and more head tension would do it too.
