Fingerpicking this gem that Tyson, with Sylvia, recorded in 1963. Judy Collins and Suzy Boguss also recorded nice versions. I’m fingerpicking the Martin D-15S with rhythm guitar the second time through.

Ian wrote him some fine songs.
I especially like "Four Rode By" -- even though I could never play that cool, cross-picked guitar break.

That cross-picking, as you likely know, Tim, was played by John Herald who backed up I & S on a couple of albums. He and Ian do a stunning duet guitar break on Ella Speed.
Ian opened for Ricky Skaggs in Vancouver, 1982, and audience members yelled for "Four Rode By". Ian had to regrettably tell them that he didn't sing those older songs anymore.
