It’s been about twenty five active hours to get this beaut singing. The goal was minimal tools, and resources spent. I was so so blessed to get my hands on some real old Osage orange, and formed the rest of the neck/body from some scrap oak. I’m happy with the results, and the unique combination of woods produced a wonderful, earthy tone.

Help me out, what should I aim to improve on going forward?

Should you ever want to put this banjo in a case, you may find you have made the peghead too wide to fit into a typical hard case. I think the aesthetics for a nice peghead would suggest making it narrower. Then it would fit in a case.

All in all I like what you've done.

The only thing I can add is when you do the next one. Put a lick of paint on the wall and remove the stickers off the scooter. That headstock should fit easily enough into a softbag.
