My 1952 truck is still on a 6 volt system. My present old tail lights have two wires going to each. The tail light has one bulb (with two posts) with two filaments. One filament for running lights, one filament for brakes and turn signal. I ordered original replacement tail lights and they each have two bulbs-one bulb for running light and one bulb for brakes and turn signal? So… am I to assume the lights are self grounded and each of the two wires to the tail lights are hot, one for running and one for brakes? Bottom line is I want to wire in the new tail lights. What say you?

I do not really know..but i think you are correct about the self grounding thing..
