Here's a banjo arrangement of "Leather Britches" played Texas-style by the fiddler Matt Hartz. There are lots of cool variations here in (mostly) melodic and (some) single-string style.
Nice! I am a fan of Texas style fiddle. Crossing over from melodic to single string and back has always been an effort for me, but I can see the necessity.
