Hello to all,
I just discovered the group Boys from Indiana from seeing their awesome album "Atlanta is Burning" from 1974 posted on youtube. The fourth track is an instrumental called "Ambush" with a really nice banjo part that I would love to learn. I'm able to slow the video down and get the gist of it but I'm a newish player so I'm doubtless missing things.
It sounds to me like the tuning is G minor, I don't know if the player (Noah Crase) is doing single-string picking to get those chromatic parts or if there's a better way of doing it over multiple strings.
Any tips? Anyone know this song? I can't find any mention of it at all by googling it, but it's hot stuff in my opinion.

Sounds like key of G, played out of open G to me
I could be wrong
