Crystalline Abiogenesis / Cognitive Crypsis (Origins of Life and Symbols)

Hey folks,

I’m just hopping back into the forum, and I wanted to announce the formalization of a couple important scientific theories while I have been absent.

If you don’t know me, I am a former restoration shop owner from the small town of Ashland, Oregon and also an independent researcher, writer, and academic—primarily in the field of epistemology, which is a branch of philosophy dedicated to defining how we know what we know.

Some major contributions I’ve proposed to various fields of science and philosophy over the past year or so include a theory on the origins of biological life (liquid crystalline polymerization as the mechanism for abiogenesis, or self-structuring of organic metabolic processes based on crystalization principles) and another on the origins of symbolic cognition (an important theory of mind development that includes advances in our understanding of human psychology / phenomenology / evolutionary neurology, and helps clarify the nature and origins of culture and civilization in homo sapiens, as well as contributing serious considerations for the philosophy of language and semiotics in general).

I am hoping to see whether anyone here at BHO has an interest in these topics, and if so open up some discussion and curiosity about this field of research.

If these prove right in some capacity, they could represent major scientific and/or cultural milestones for humanity. I think it is very interesting that reflecting on how symbols originate and how we use them both psychologically and socially—and ultimately biologically—has opened up such fertile ground for awareness of or rumination on our place within the universe.

My theory of abiogenesis is going by the working title ‘geobiology theory’ whereas my theory on cognitive crypsis (which may relate our use of symbols to ambush hunting and crocodile behavior in evolutionary biology) is going by ‘crypsis theory.’ I wrote a short text which is available online (compiled to the best of my ability at the moment, under severe duress unfortunately) that is also housed now at the Library of Congress Special Collections Unit for chapbooks and zines, along with some of my creative writing and poetry.

I’ll leave it there for your consideration.

Best regards.
