An eye drop called Vizz is promoting itself as a replacement for reading glasses….Claims it works within 30 minutes and lasts up to 10 hours, while you can ditch your readers. OTOH, you can keep using your readers, which are ready to go in about 10 seconds—and work for as little or long a time as you need. What am I missing here?

Does Vizz make it any easier to read the "fine print"?

[Not that there actually is fine print, or that the fine print would be any more accurate/informative. sad ]

Edit: However, just now, I did "look it up"  .....https://www.drugs.com/vizz.html  ... on a preliminary once-over, and with no technical training/insights, I figure it sounds plausible.   Might have to keep an eye on it.

Maybe it's a when-you-believe-it-it'll-happen moment??  devil

Edit: I don't profess to understand all the words, but "Vizz's mechanism of action is as a cholinergic muscarinic receptor agonist that stimulates the muscarinic receptors on the iris muscle, which causes the pupil to constrict." sounds like it might have possibilities ................... or could be an entry in the  "baffle 'em with b.s." category.   indecision

So it's the opposite of eye drops that expand the pupils. Contract the pupils. Greater depth of field. Higher chance of something being in focus but less light reaching the retina. Pretty much like stopping down a camera lens. But I can't see a situation where I say "I want to read. I'll put the drops in and wait 30 mins". But I can see a situation where I say "I want to drive. But I've just put the drops in". I think I'll give this one a miss. And fentanyl and heroin have the same effect, and I hear they are a lot more fun.
