Being fairly new the Banjo & being self taught it's a slow process. With it's challenges at the moment I'm unsure if the metal bit on my body (Banjo that is). Is ment the used to create a vibrato effect. And also if the pickup uses a battery to boost the audio signal. Once connected to an amp. Any advise would be much appreciated I've added a few photos. Hope everyone is living there best Banjo life's

There are no photos. There are no metal bits on a banjo for creating a vibrato effect (this was tried many decades ago and didn't catch on). Active pickups require batteries but banjo pickups are usually passive and pre amps are used to get a decent signal. Also this is probably the wrong forum for this question as this is posting videos and audio files.
