you can save a ton of dough but sometimes its is aggravating to get thru the process.
ordered 2 rear hub assemblies for the wifes car .. i got OEM hubs because that is the way i am if possible i get oem parts..... found a network of dealerships who sell online at a nice discount. buy sometimes they drag their feet.... but saving 2 or 3 hundred bucks is worth it i guess.
Buy them in metric and you'll save an additional 10% +/- . 
By "aggravating process" are you referring to navigating the website(s)? I've not purchased a lot online, but haven't found the websites to be particularly user friendly ... I figure it's on purpose, though I still wonder "why?".*
Having said that I've usually made out okay .... haven't noticed any reason to buy OEM over jobber.

* onto a tangent, but it's kinda how I find a fair bit of instructional material for "You Too Can Learn To Play Banjo" .... typically, before I'm too far in I find myself asking: "Geez, don't you try this stuff out on some real students before you publish it?!?!?" [Mini-rant over ..... for now.
