Several months ago, I was asked to build a top tension mini banjo by BHO member, Tim Lindblom. I had no way to produce the necessary metal parts. Tim 3D printed the parts and had them cast in stainless steel, and had a wood block rim made. He then sent me the mini pot assembly. He did an excellent job! I then built his mini using his 6" pot. I also built the mini case.

This is a project I've been dreaming of building for years and didn't honestly think I'd ever be able to make it actually happen. I definitely couldn't have done this alone or with anyone else.
Credit to another great builder, Zachary Hoyt, for working with me to get the rim built. I was able to send him a 3d printed version of what I needed and he built a block rim perfectly to specs. I would highly recommend Zachary for your custom parts needs.
I'll be back with an update once I have the banjo but from what I've seen so far, it's a dream come true!

Great to see more drum head banjos. I’m a convert! I’m working around two 9” djembe drum head (Remo) banjo’s atm.
