Well It has not rain for weeks, and has over over 100*F as well. Then I ordered the gutter cleaner equipment to blow my gutters that are full of early shedding leaves...and guess, what? It rains! NOw I have to wait for them the dry out. Brad
From the unsolicited advice department: you could fill some of the wait time by, like Mike Gregory sometimes suggests, everybody grab yer banjos and let's hammer out Better Times A'comin'. 
This fall has been a week or more of dry followed by a sizable "dump" ... rinse and repeat ... lots of cracks in the tomatoes. Fwiw, they're later than normal .... just starting to ripen nicely on the vine .... but the few I've eaten sure! are!! good!!!
