Hey all... is Chris Sorenson, Companion Custom Banjos, still in business. I'm needing a couple tuner buttons to match the ones he made me before, but I can't get in touch with him. There doesn't seem to be a website for them anymore. I've reached out through Facebook messenger but they haven't responded back. Anyone have any contact info? Thanks.... Tim

I saw him about a month ago. He is stepping away from taking banjo orders for the foreseeable future- mostly due to some family/life changes that are beyond his control. He hopes to keep a foot in the door, so to speak, and may occasionally make some instruments and offer them up for sale- but they will be what he wants to make and on his schedule, rather than taking specific customer orders. He hopes that in the future he can resume some sort of regular focus on the banjo biz, but it won't be for at least a few years, I'd say.

That being said, I have no idea if he has any inventory of tuner buttons. It's worth reaching out to find out.

I had heard something like this from Chris a while back and hope that all goes well. It makes me sad that someone who was doing such a great job supplying US sourced parts and instruments has to pause the business for a while but also glad that he and his family will have time to focus on the important things for them.

Thanks to Chris and his family for their wonderful, kind support of the banjo community!

I tried reaching Chris through Facebook Messenger about a year ago and never received a reply. I was hoping to get a replacement neck for a Companion banjo that was damaged in shipping.
