Apparently a large chunk of ice 8/10 mile wide broke off and fell 4,000 feet to the valley below beginning its slosh downhill, also about 4,000 feet in elevation. That really large building being taken out in those videos was 13 miles away. It took 7 minutes to get there and wipe everyone out and keep on going.
I think we're in for a whole lot more of this all over. A huge ice shelf is about to collapse in Antarctic, about the size of Great Britain. That should be a real doozy when it finally breaks loose...
So, I guess this is the tip of the iceberg, literally I guess ... ?
I guess all of us will stay tuned.
