I'm am new to this group, but I need some help. My Dad recently passed away and left me his banjo. I don't think I saw him even hold it for over 5 minutes my entire life. It is in great condition with original case and even has the original saleroom tags on it. How much is this worth and was wondering if anyone would be interested in it. Also has original case. That's a 5-string and not a tenor banjo, which is probably a plus for you if you are wanting to sell it.

That is the Vega Folk Ranger model. The entry level Vega banjo. Made in the Boston area. It is a very well made vintage American banjo.
This summer one sold at Bernunzio with an asking price of $650.
The original case shown in your photos appears to be a "soft shell" (cardboard) case and unlikely to increase the value much.
You might take one more photo of that piece of yellow tape inside the round part, so that viewers can read the serial #, place of manufacture, and hand written model description.
Or it's a fine beginner's instrument if you want to learn to play bluegrass or old time music, and will always be salable later.
Let us know what part of the country you're in and BHO members in your neighborhood could suggest vintage instrument dealers might want to buy it. Dealers usually pay about half of expected retail value. If you consign with them to sell but maintaining ownership, they typically keep 20% of the sale price.
