Good evening,
Anyone know of a flat head tone ring that has a small bird stamped and 2003 next to it. Any suggestions on the maker. It’s a very nice TR. Also has written on the inside skirt, “standard skirt, 14.5 ozs.”

Thank you

Actually, the little bird logo is used by the other Czech builder, Ptacek, though I believe Ptacek has made parts for Prucha

I asked this question many months ago. I have two brass capos and a Mastertone tension hoop with the little bird brand.

I learned here that is from a different Czech builder which I hope I'll spell halfway right. Not Prucha. It's Ptaczek or something to that effect. Ptaczek had a fine reputation.

I'm unaware of any link to Prucha, other than than that they were perhaps countrymen.

I hope someone with full knowledge will join this thread.

His name is Rosta Capek, pronounced
Cha-pek, accent on the first syllable.

Interesting. I definitely hand a Prucha banjo years ago with a tone ring that had a little bird stamped on it. Thanks for clarifying.
