Simply brushing with the back of his nails over the neck and interspersing with pull offs at the 1st string 2nd fret, though any fret would do. That's just where his left hand happens to be, in first position.
It’s a showy flourish and you really don’t need a tutorial. He literally shows you what he's doing, square-on to camera. Just watch and give it a go.

The right hand strum is the same in any key. In G, you can do the pull off on the first string, second fret on the down strum. For practice, start with every other down strum, then add every down strum. Personally, it doesn't fit every song.
