Hey everyone, hope all is well.
Has anyone got direct experience with the tonal differences when a Dobson rests on a thin 3/8" .maple rim compared to a rolled brass of 1/4" ? I have seen this called a Dobson special. How much does the tone change when the Dobson rests upon a brass hoop?
