I randomly saw on gold tone’s website that they have a new high moon series open back banjo. Looks like it is being offered in both 11” and 12” pot sizes. Anyone play one yet or own one? What do you think? Is it much different than the more expensive high moon banjo beyond headstock shape, neck binding and number of hooks? I could not find another post about this new banjo, forgive me if I overlooked it.

They have a pair of HM-100As at my local shop. I think in addition to # of hooks its a different style, plus the hm-25 lacks a tone ring (unless I am mistaken).
