John Prine sang this in the key of D. Double-C tuning with a capo at the second fret would match that. Do you prefer open-G tuning?

Many Thanks David , I’ll try both tunings ! Clawhammer great . Seems difficult to find many tunes ( unless classic/ traditional ) in. 2F , Thumb lead .
