Here is "Jerusalem Ridge." I'm playing it in G because I haven't installed a railroad spike on this new banjo yet. So anyway, here it is. I don't play it very fast, but it's the best I can do. Sounds great. Good job and congrats on the new axe. As far as playing tempo, slow and steady is always better than fast and choppy.

nice job especially after 3 years --i wish i was that fast at learning--I play it in G -- the A minor scale (key) =is plenty available in open G

Very good picking. No apology about playing it not to tempo. One needs to learn it slow first, then worry about speed.

Lots of tunes are played fast or too fast. Trying them at a slower pace often produces a more pleasant less frantic effect. I like JR played at that tempo.

as for me
the slower I play things --(after they are memorized)--the harder they are to pull for more sustain but the more places i find for pick-up notes etc. things that make it more musical --but of course I lose the ''barn burner'' thrill for that==however I have more fun
