With melodic lines that routinely go over the bar line, your compositions are one surprise after another. I love surprises. I always have to listen at least twice so my brain can categorize what I'm listening to, though your music defies categorization. I love that too.

Thanks very much, Andy. I owe some of the credit for this one to Gautier d'Espinal, a medieval trouvere. The first parts of the tune are based loosely on his song, “Se par force de merci”.
