Got my new ( to me) 19thC fretless 12 inch Temlett banjo yesterday, bought from a gentleman of this parish. It is everything I hoped for, the tone and the look are beautiful. Never played a fretless before but am loving it, and would urge anyone who thinks they might give it a try to go for it. Of course the slides, but also the nuances of tone are excellent and much fun. I have masses to learn but the first 24 hours have been extreme fun.

Ha, I have insurmountable difficulty getting pictures from my phone to my BHO posts. Its a 12 inch spunover pot with smooth arm with star and dit markers. Painting a word picture here ??
