Are you a member of a group here at the Hangout? If so, you probably clicked on subscribe to ....
Go to the left hand side of the page and under forums click on subscriptions and see if you have subscribed to anything. If so, click on unsubscribe and that should take care of the problem.
If it doesn't, then it's something Eric will have to check out.
