Elderly Banjolin of Unknown Make, Age, Other Details

Please help me identify this banjolin. I do not know the age, maker or anything else about it. There are no identifying marks we can find. Thank you!

I recommend you post the pictures directly to this forum. Though they are on your media page, making them easily accessible on this page will get you more replies.

When you (and only you) view this page, you can scroll down to an attachments box that has your media photos. click on each one and they will appear in "your attachments" box. Then click post reply. 

Very simple and much more convenient for us that have sucky internet connections.

Very likely of European manufacture, but I am not well versed in those instruments so can't tell you anything beyond that.

Continental rather than British. French, Italian or German. 20's or 30's ? No great value.

Possibly German or even Yugoslav. Banjo mandolins have little interest nowadays but are often fun when strung as ukuleles. 8 string uke sets are readily available. The nut usually has to be widened—pretty easy with an instrument that has a zero fret like this one. Nylon is more durable than Nylgut.
