Yes, he was kind of legendary in the Carolinas and was doing this work before many others started. If I hadn't just bought another banjo, I would probably be on the road to Rock Hill tomorrow to check them out.

i remember chuck playing that banjo,,, he took my place when i left destination bluegrass ..  good sounding banjo ,, for sure

 

friend of mine that we had a band together played  a ward mandolin for years

 he still has i guess,, las time i saw him he was playing a 20s something F-4 but still had his ward.
