I think you have a gem here that won't last long once you put it up for sale. If I was in the maket for a Gibson.... that would be one of my first picks.
Good luck with whatever you do.Wow Sherry! Thanks!
I personally think it's a gem and is why I've held on to it so long. But realistically, I'm never going to pick it and it deserves a home that will
Photography, in the bag. That is something I do well haha So yes, for sure, I will be very thorough and detailed!
This is such an awesome community...you all are almost making me Not want to sell hahaha
Thank you Sherry!
You're welcome. That's why I'm here: to offer my assistance when someone needs help.
If you decide to sell/ship the banjo...
... then I would advise, "USA sales only to the lower 48".
Packing is CRITICAL for banjos. Not overly difficult, but the instrument needs to be properly supported in a couple of areas (under the heel of the neck, and at the other end behind the peghead so it can't get broken by "backlash").
Does the banjo have the "Gibson" logo case that has the padlock (with the flat top)?
That's actually a very good case.
If I was shipping an instrument these days, I'd just go with the US Post Office...perhaps with expedited delivery (not "overnight")...

It does have original Gibson case
christina another avenue to post it for sell is one called reverb.,
they mostly have electric instruments on there for sale but i have seen tons of banjos of all grades on there too.
the way i would set it up was use 1 picture and a description then post a link to the banjo hangout ad that you will have on here.
it won't hurt and you may get a few more eyes on it.
here is a link that tells you how to post a for sale item on there
https://help.reverb.com/hc/en-us/articles/40917662266779-How-do-I-list-my-item-on-Reverb
BTW those are fine banjos .... its a good one made right.

Hey everyone
Yes, I am selling my banjo it's just taking sometime because I want to get everything right before I post in classifieds here on Banjo Hangout and on Reverb
I took everyone's advice here (thanks all) and just cleaned with a dry microfiber cloth.
I took to Gold Tone near me to have only tuned and picked...what an awesome day! I could have stayed and listened to the pros play my banjo all day and night!
Anyway, when I do post there will be video of those boys enjoying my banjo...but truly the pleasure was all mine! Thank you Banjo Hangout and Gold Tone for guidance!
Finally posted my classified add!
Check it out and tell your friends!

So, I'm going to start with only here first. Then I will post on reverb.com if I don't get any traction... Again, thanks for all the advice
